I’ve found these two trees to be a regular subject over the past several years. They are on the edge of the bluff overlooking Lake Michigan in the park just south of my house. Most of the photos were made with my iPhone. Somehow they seem to lend themselves to this way of shooting over a traditional camera. I’ve taken hundreds of photos of the twins and I hope that this selection will allow you to share in the beauty of them throughout all the seasons.
As of late summer 2016, the City of Port Washington has planted a new tree very close to the spot where most of these were taken. I can only assume that they are preparing for the day that the twins give way to the ever eroding bluff and the new tree will take their pace. I can’t see it taking their place with me though. The twins will live on in these images once they are gone.
